May Meeting Agenda

  • Meeting with Public Works on Barrett-Key Traffic Circle
At the request of the Dimm-Key neighbors and the East Richmond Neighborhood Council, City Public Works staff will meet with neighbors on the design of the Barrett-Key Traffic Circle. The online meeting will be on Wed. June 11 at 7-8:30 PM via “Microsoft Teams” here.
Review a letter outlining requested design changes here.
  • Dumpster Day volunteers needed.
This year’s Dumpster Day will be Saturday, August 2nd, from 8am to noon. Neighbors who have volunteered to guide traffic for the past several years have asked for help. Please consider donating an hour or two by contacting us at eastrichmondnc@gmail.com

Program

Crime watch, block parties and emergency prep, oh my!
Would you like your neighborhood to be friendlier, safer, and more able to respond to emergencies? Here’s one way: organize crime watch, hold annual block parties, and talk up emergency preparedness. Nel Benningshof and Nick Despota will tell you how. We’ll also want to hear about how your own block organizes.

Announcements

  • Dumpster Day is on Saturday, August 2nd. We’re asking for help. See above.
  • A humorous and thought-provoking retrospective of East Richmond’s own artist John Wehrle, Time & Tide, continues at the Richmond Art Center, through June 14. John’s work pokes serious fun at the environmental and cultural issues of our day. Don’t miss it.
